Pisa has a railway terminal at the airport – just outside the departure hall - 40 metres from exit of airport. The terminal is directly connected to Pisa Central Station by a short train journey. From there it is easy to pick up a train direct to Santa Margherita – the regional train services are slower because they stop at many places but they are direct
For speed, use the intercity train or eurostar. These are much faster – they stop at Rapallo. You can change at Rapallo for a regional train or immediately outside Rapallo station is a bus stop. The N8M bus goes very regularly to Santa Margherita. It stops outside the Lido Palace Hotel
